How To Stay Healthy In Your Real Estate Job

As a real estate agent, you often live a busy lifestyle and it can be hard to put your health first. However, being healthier will make you a better real estate agent, so it is something you should be prioritising. We are here to introduce a few simple tips to incorporate into your life to find a healthy work-life balance, so you can feel your absolute best and know that you are looking after your body.

Create A Routine

The first piece of advice we can give you is to establish a strong routine. Routine’s can be completely transformative when life is busy, as when you have lots of appointments throughout the day, having some consistency in your day can be really useful. When people talk about a routine, they might think that every hour of every day needs to be planned out, but this isn’t the case. Your routine might be something as simple as waking up at 6:30am, throwing on your womens gym leggings and a sweatshirt, and going for a 30 minute walk in the morning. When you get in from work, you might do 10 minutes of meditation, a face mask and read for 20 minutes to help you unwind.

When you have a crazy schedule, knowing you have some elements of consistency can help you to focus and really get the most out of your day.

Get Your Sleep

Our next tip is to make sure you’re getting your sleep. Sleep is one of the things we neglect most when we are busy, but it is the thing that can impact your ability to stay focused and motivated the most. Not only is it vital for the body, but also the mind, so prioritising your sleep is something that can transform how you feel throughout the working day, to make you much more present.

You should aim for between 7 and 8 hours of sleep every night, so decide whether you want to go to bed slightly earlier or if you can get up slightly later in the morning. This will all depend on personal preference! However, you should make this a priority and you will notice such a big difference in how you feel and your productivity.

Meal Prep

Another thing you can do to make sure you are looking after yourself is to meal prep for the week. Over the weekend (or on your day off if you work over the weekend), plan what you want to eat for your lunches and snacks that week, get a list together, go food shopping and spend a couple of hours prepping the 5 meals you need for your lunch. You can plan to eat a variety of nutritious foods throughout the week and you have them all ready and waiting in the fridge so you are looking after yourself from the inside out.

If you easily get bored of food and don’t want to eat the same meal for 5 days, you could batch make a few meals and freeze them for the next week, so you have the benefit of variety and you save even more time.

Final Thoughts

Life as a real estate agent can be overwhelming and your priorities might change, but you need to put yourself first and prioritise your health. With these tips, you can start to do this, as they are only small changes but they can make a huge difference in your life. Look after yourself and your career will thrive as a result!
