Bundi, from a distance, seems nothing less than an array of artistic impressions on a wall. Popular as the Queen of Hadoti region, the city of Bundi is situated at a distance of about 210 kilometers from the state’s capital Jaipur. When it comes to Kota tourism, Bundi is vividly present in books and itineraries as a weekend getaway because of its physical proximity to the city i.e. about 35 kilometers. Ancient art is yet another attraction of Bundi. You will notice the Ragmala and Mughal’s influence in the unique painting styles here. Admirers can head straight to the Dugari Fort or the Bundi Fort to view the magnificent works of art solely attached to Bundi culture. And in case you are around, it will not be fair to skip the rock paintings in the Bundi Palace, showcasing the long journey of human evolution. You can also peek into the glorious history of this city by visiting it at the time of the famous Bundi Utsav.

If you want to know how, then it isn’t much of a task to reach Bundi. You can board a train from Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station in New Delhi to Kota train junction that will take about an average of 6 to 8 hours to cover the entire journey. From here, you can easily reach Bundi by opting for regular taxis from Kota at economical rates. Other options include flights to Udaipur and Jaipur which are the nearest airports from Bundi. Also, regular buses ply to Bundi from all major bus stands in Rajasthan.
