The new venture by noted director Mahesh Babu has given a new face to the Kannada film industry – Dilip Prakash. Twenty one-year-old mechanical engineering final year student, Dilip is extremely passionate about acting and is a hardworking youngster. This could be the reason why, with only one film to his credit, he bagged the lead role in a film directed by one of the acclaimed directors of the film industry.
Dilip’s first movie Mahaakali was directed by S. Mahendra, and had Malashri in the lead role. Mahaakali had a strong plot and good music; yet Dilip’s role was not noticed much. However, he was later selected as the lead for Crazy Boy and has done a good job in terms of portraying his acting skills. Ask the director and he says that both the actors are extremely hardworking and dedicated towards their work. He is of the opinion that their passion towards acting and the urge to learn will take them long way in the industry.
Mahesh Babu is noted for identifying talented youngsters and launching many young stars. He has introduced some of the famous actors like Aindrita Ray, Kriti Kharbanda and Nikki Galrani into the film industry.
Crazy Boy has been written by Ajay Kumar. The music has been composed by Jassie Gift. Dilip Prakash plays the protagonist. The movie is a youthful love story and Dilip has been cast alongside Ashika, who is also a new comer. The songs from the movie have already become the new favourites among the youngsters and are receiving plenty of views on YouTube. The songs are also being downloaded by many and have taken the entire public by storm.
The director told media that he had a good story and knew that waiting for the dates of big stars will only make the story stale, and therefore he thought of casting new faces for his upcoming film. However, he is very impressed by the dedication of both the actors towards their work. He further added that despite being from a non film background Dilip has great acting skills and has done a brilliant work.
The audio launch of the movie was done by actor Darshan and comedy king Santhanam. When asked about his experience in the industry Dilip spoke highly about his colleagues. Expressing his respect towards Darshan, he said he was motivated by the actor and his great physique has persuaded him to hit the gym.
The promotion of the movie is going on in a full-fledged manner and the actors are receiving positive reviews from everywhere. Dilip’s acting as well as dancing skills are becoming the favourite among the public and the entire Kannada film industry is looking forward for the release of the movie, which will present two rising stars to the industry.
